Hi guys!
So I know I haven't posted anything in a while, and I have a million pics to share. I thought I'd start off with the pictures from when Emma visited me in December. Enjoy!
Us standing in line at Notre Dame.
Outside of Notre Dame.
The famous English bookstore, Shakespeare and Co.
At some point we stumbled across a market that was selling birds just like this, that's how they do it here.
Outside the Hôtel des Invalides, originally Napoleon I's hospital for injured soldiers.
On the Pont Alexandre III, between the Hôtel des Invalides and the Champs Elysées.
Exterior of the Petit Palais, a museum that we didn't end up having time to visit.
Weird decorations at Paris' largest Christmas market!
Outside the Louvre! Emma ended up visiting the museum while I had class one day.
I originally thought this was a pic of the Arc de Triomphe, but now I remember it's a pic of the arc in the Jardin des Tuileries, right next to the Louvre. Yes, it does look exactly like the Arc de Triomphe.
We also visited the Disney store, and Emma and I were both amazed by this Disney Barbie collection. It was even on sale for only 100 euro!
Pics from the actual Arc de Triomphe.
Exterior of the Sacred Heart Basilica in Montmartre, the northern-most district in Paris.
Pics of the Eiffel Tower at night - my camera was struggling with all the lights.
We also wondered through the mall near my house, Emma was excited to see that even Paris has a Chipotle!
On Sunday we spent the entire day at Versailles. The weather was perfect, and Emma loved it!
This clock was super cool, it has a barometer and a thermometer.
If you look closely, you can see how this little step ladder can fold up and become a little table.
Outside the Grand Trianon, one of the smaller residences on the larger Versailles castle campus.
The next day after Versailles we visited the Mosque of Paris. So pretty!
This is us goofing around, trying to take pictures of ourselves at the Roman Arena that still exists in Paris!
Next we visited the Pantheon.
This is Emma next to the graves of Marie and Pierre Curie!
Inside the Pantheon.
Outside the Pantheon.
Hanging out with the Christmas trees in the square!
We giggled when we saw these giant wine bottles.
I also took Emma to Les Deux Magots, the restaurant that Hemingway and lots of other American authors loved in the early 1900s. I got a Cappuccino and Emma got a hot chocolate that tasted like they had just melted down an entire chocolate bar. So delicious.
While we were walking we saw this English used book store, where I stopped to grab a few cheap books to read. Emma was playing around on the ladder when the guy wasn't looking, thinking she was Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Outside the Hôtel de Ville.
In the métro.
At the Pierre and Marie Curie museum.
Museum of Natural History. So many giant fossils.
And those are all the pics from Emma's visit! I will stat putting up more pics from my Eurotrip asap.
